About This Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong SQL expertise and analytics architecture experience to design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions.

This role focuses on data modeling, analytical database integration, and performance optimization, ensuring data is reliable, accessible, and discoverable to drive data literacy.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys working close to the data layer, designing architecture, and solving complex data challenges. The role sits between data engineering and analytics engineering, with a strong focus on integration amongst multiple data platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement ETL procedures for intake of data from both internal and outside sources, as well as ensure data is verified and quality is checked.
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders in ensuring data catalog architecture development and utilization.
  • Plan and coordinate data migrations with zero/low downtime patterns, including backfills, cutovers, and data validation.
  • Analyze large data sets and enforce standardization and quality checks throughout pipelines and transformations.
  • Promote security best practices, governance, and compliance-by-default patterns for sensitive data.
  • Work with business analysts and project managers to develop and refine data cataloguing requirements.
  • Assist in planning sessions with the business users to analyze business requirements, and provide design recommendations.
  • Metadata Integrations from multiple sources (internal and 3rd party) to Data Governance/Cataloguing tools

Requirements

  • English level B2+ and above.
  • SQL, REST API, Excel. 
  • Data presentation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Power Point, or similar) 
  • Solid data understanding (Structured and unstructured data) and data wrangling capabilities. 
  • Data Governance and management tools knowledge (Colibra, Allation, Purview, Unity Catalog, or similar tools) 
  • Basic AI knowledge
  • Python, R, JDBC (Preferable)
  • USA Visa B1/B2 (Preferable)
